Job: Parent-Teacher Liaison 

Overview: ClassTutor began and remains a socially driven company. Established in March 2020, we are a partnership of tutors providing education to students who typically have no access to it, beginning during the school closures at the height of the COVID lockdowns. Since its inception, ClassTutor has seen consistent growth month on month, growing to a team of over 70 teachers with established revenue streams.

As a Teacher and Parent Liaison at ClassTutor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our educational programs and maintaining strong relationships with both teachers and parents. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of teacher management, class organization, parent engagement, and student success.

Responsibilities: 

Teacher Liaison: 

  • Lead the recruitment and hiring process of new teachers, ensuring alignment with ClassTutor's values and standards. 

  • Develop and manage the class timetable, while also coordinating the launch of new classes. 

  • Monitor class capacities, making adjustments as necessary to optimize student-teacher ratios. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for teachers, addressing their inquiries and providing timely support. 

  • Facilitate the onboarding and training of new teachers, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles. 

  • Observe lessons and evaluate teacher performance, offering constructive feedback to enhance teaching quality. 

  • Provide coaching and guidance to teachers, assisting them in improving their lesson delivery. 

  • Maintain and update the curriculum periodically to align with educational standards and student needs. 

  • Ensure teachers are effectively covering the required material and address student requests for specific topics. 

  • Organise general and subject specific meetings for tutor training and discussions 

  • Provide weekly reports to management team on what was done, and what is planned for the following week

Parent Liaison: 

  • Proactively reach out to parents regarding behavioural concerns and collaborate on solutions. 

  • Manage safeguarding concerns within the organization, prioritizing the well-being of students. 

  • Organize mentorship and coaching meetings with students and parents to provide personalized support. 

  • Arrange seminars for parents and students to enhance the benefits derived from lessons. 

  • Regularly communicate with parents about their students' progress and development. 

  • Analyze student data to identify areas of concern and take appropriate actions. 

  • Develop blog posts and seminar ideas to educate parents and students on relevant topics. 

 

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. 

  • Effective communication over whatsapp and other digital mediums

  • Strong people management skills, capable of working with teachers, parents, and students effectively. 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships and clear communication. 

  • Thorough understanding of the UK Curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards. 

  • Genuine passion for teaching and learning, committed to helping students succeed. 

  • Ability to manage your own schedule, set targets and be held accountable for remote work.

  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting, providing regular updates to the team. 

  • Dedication to the well-being and growth of children. 

Experience: 

  • Ideally, previous teaching experience 

  • Knowledge in the UK/IE Education sector or as a tutor is a plus! 

Salary:  

  • £31,200, pro-rated, working at 25% capacity

Location: 

  • Remote, with occasional meetings at head office in Solihull, West Midlands
