Job: Sales & Customer Care Manager  

Overview: ClassTutor began and remains a socially driven company. Established in March 2020, we are a partnership of tutors providing education to students who typically have no access to it, beginning during the school closures at the height of the COVID lockdowns. Since its inception, ClassTutor has seen consistent growth month on month, growing to a team of over 70 teachers with established revenue streams.

ClassTutor is revolutionising the tuition market, making high-end tuition available to those who otherwise could not afford it, and we want a team to help us do it! As a Sales Manager at ClassTutor, you will play a pivotal role in speaking with and signing up parents to ClassTutor. You will be the first point of call for parents, offering advice and supporting them through their educational journey. In that sense, the role goes beyond sales, building a bond of trust with the parent to advise them on their children’s education through the years they are with us.

What you’ll do: 


  • Proactively engage with potential clients (parents, students, adults) through both inbound and outbound lead channels, conducting comprehensive needs assessments to gain insights into their educational aspirations. 

  • Match students with the most suitable tutors, setting up free trial lessons where suitable to develop customized educational strategies. 

  • Maintain open lines of communication with potential leads, utilizing email, phone, and chat mediums. 

  • Cultivate relationships to establish consumer confidence to guide customers towards enrolling on an educational subscription plan 

  • Collaborate with teachers and admin team to ensure a seamless onboarding journey for new clients, communicating effectively the needs of the student to provide a tailored lesson experience 

  • Collaborate across the ClassTutor team to establish best practice, offer new ideas and improve the product offering  

  • Negotiate pricing with customers, supporting parents to access the tuition they need at the budget they can afford 

  • Serve as a representative of the ClassTutor mission, brand, products, and technological advancements 



  • Hire and manage a team of like-minded individuals, setting sales goals and working together to reach them. 

  • Set monthly targets with the management team, monitor their progress and report back on progress 

  • Oversee the performance of each sales team member to ensure targets are met 

  • Work closely with the Tutor Management team to manage class capacity, measure performance and ensure an consistently exceptional lessons.

  • Team Player: You enjoy other people’s company and find joy in speaking with parents. Sharing knowledge is second nature, and you're always willing to go the extra mile to accomplish collective objectives. 

  • Organisational Skills: You are well organised and keep excellent records of what has been and needs to be done. Task prioritization and management are your forte, ensuring efficient workflow. 

  • Multitasking: Seamlessly transitioning between tasks or concentrating on a primary task while keeping peripheral responsibilities in mind is a key strength you possess. 

  • Minimum 1 Year Sales Experience: Ideally, you have at least one year of experience in sales, preferably within a B2C context. However, we also value those who are enthusiastic about embracing a new challenge.

  • Telesales: 1 year (preferred B2C) 

  • Knowledge in the UK/IE Education sector or as a tutor is a plus! 



  • £18,000 - £45,000, based on experience 

  • Significant staff discounts on tuition for family and friends

  • Additional commission pay for meeting targets 



  • Solihull, West Midlands, with potential for hybrid work
